For this years eighth annual Record Store Day, thirteen eclectic bands came together for a second compilation tribute album to Nirvana, titled Whatever Nevermind.

Former Nirvana drummer and current Foo Fighters' frontman Dave Grohl was Ambassafor for Record Store Day 2015, making the tribute album timely and appropriate. Virginia record label Robotic Empire congregated an honorary album for Nirvana's classic 1993 LP, In Utero, for last years Record Store Day, keeping the tradition alive for two years in a row.
