Repucom's Celebrity DBI measures perceptions. Their expanded database features more than 5,000 celebrities, including athletes, film and TV stars, musical performers, business leaders, news pundits, personalities and more and what more than 1.5 billion people (approximately 30% of the world's adult population) thinks about them.

For companies that are looking for paid spokespeople, this is an excellent way to figure out who will best represent their brand. For the rest of us, this is fun trivia as well as the knowledge of how other people's opinions stack up to ours.

With the Grammy Awards being this past Sunday, Repucom shared information about the top ranking musicians who got Grammy nods. At the top of the American perception charts about musicians, country music stars hold four out of five of the top spots. Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire have the biggest reach and most impact. These artists scored higher than mega-stars Beyonce, Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry.

As far as likeability goes, Blake Shelton holds the title with 89% of those asked reporting that they like him. Darius Rucker and Kelly Clarkson are also quite likeable according to fans. On the other end of the spectrum, those who aren't liked much at all, there were no country names to be found. Robin Thicke, Rihanna, Jay Z, Eminem and Kanye West were named the least likeable nominees from the Grammy Awards list for this year.

Trustworthiness is another area that country music stars took high marks. Blake Shelton, Darius Rucker, Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw were the highest rated Grammy nominees this year.

As far as name recognition goes, 87% of Americans know who Kelly Clarkson and Tim McGraw are. That is the same percentage of people who know who NBA superstar LeBron James is and more than those who know who Katie Holmes is. Clarkson and McGraw were the fourth and fifth most well known of the nominees.
