Sia has once again floored us with her impressive vocal talents. She took on the classic 1965 single "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas & The Papas for the soundtrack to the upcoming film San Andreas. Her cover trades in the slow-burning folk sound for a version backed by haunting orchestral instrumentals, complete with a choir. The second verse speeds things up with a hard-driving drum machine and other layered production elements, which take you through the rest of the song.

This isn't Sia's first time working on film soundtracks. She oversaw last year's Annie remake soundtrack and also co-wrote an original song for Pitch Perfect 2.

The full soundtrack for San Andreas dropped today with original music composed by Andrew Lockington.

According to IMDB, the Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson-starring film takes place after a massive earthquake in California, leading a rescue-chopper pilot to make a dangerous journey across the state in order to rescue his estranged daughter.
