There's little denying that Eminem is a phenomenal rapper, and now he is the "Phenomenal" rapper. Today (June 2), right at the drop of midnight, Slim Shady dropped his latest new track from the soundtrack to the upcoming boxing drama Southpaw.

"I am phenomenal," Em declares in a shout at the beginning of the chorus of the epic new jam. Epic swells of guitar and heavy beats mark the track's music.

Lyrically, Eminem likens rising as a white rapper to being a "southpaw" in boxing (a.k.a., a left-handed boxer). "I write with the left/Same hand I hold the mic with as I fight to the death," he raps at one point. The inspirational track holds encourages others to follow their own dreams despite adversity, though with Eminem's biting delivery, the message comes across as far less cheesy than it sounds.

"Time to slip in that zone till' I find myself / Inside the realm where the unknown and boldly go / In the waters where nobody else has gone before / Or willing to go, uncharted, feeling is so / Bomb, I'm feelin' myself, I'm a giant / Sometimes I gotta remind myself that I am / Phenomenal," he spits with soaring enthusiasm and that signature Shady sense of urgency.
