Beyoncé broke the internet when she dropped her last self-titled album by surprise during 2013, so we could only imagine what sort of wonders she would reveal on Good Morning America when the show declared she "has something she wants you to know." Another album announcement? A huge, solo tour? A Destiny's Child reunion?!? Needless to say, it ended up being rather disappointing.

The pop star announced formally that she was a vegan, a fact that many fans claimed to already be aware of.

The feature was covered in telltale television tabloid fodder. As Beyoncé spoke, different tags read "ONLY ON GMA," "BEYONCE SECRETS TO LOOKING 'FLAWLESS'" and "SUPERSTAR SPEAKS OUT ON WEIGHT LOSS." Lost in the message were the actually important benefits of the vegan lifestyle, such as its relative kindness to animals, nor was there much information for viewers on how to follow in her footsteps without running into any health problems.

Fans, or perhaps just those wanting to mock the star, took to Instagram to express their disappointment in the "news," posting various emojis in the comment section that featured hamburgers, pizza and the like.

Perhaps in response to all the haters, the performer posted numerous photos of herself dressed in a fine-looking swimsuit on her website. It certainly proved that whatever she's doing is working, and she assured fans on her show that "all you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can." That advice, although well intended, is probably not 100 percent true, and caused your correspondent to curl up in the corner of the office and weep inconsolably this morning, causing quite a pile-up near the coffee machine.

Of course, for all the disinterest shown by fans..."Beyoncé diet plan" has zoomed up the Google search rankings.
