Two of American Idol's most successful alums are returning to the competition. And, no, they're not looking for a chance to win a record contract -- they're looking to mentor the new crop of Idol recruits.

Yes, Adam Lambert and (Chris) Daughtry will be taking to the FOX show one more time as a sort of "camp counselor" for an Idol boot camp, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

With new producers, a new segment of the show will air, with a two-day workshop which will allow for American viewers to get to know the top 30 before they move on to the live show. Lambert and Daughtry will be acting as counselors of a sort and mentors for the new crop of hopeful singers.

Daughtry gave hints to some of what was in store for himself and the Idol hopefuls on his official Twitter account earlier this week.

These messages reflect some of the other changes in the show, wherein longtime judge Randy Jackson moved into the mentor role previously held by Jimmy Iovine.

According to Lambert's Twitter, the alumnus featuring episodes of American Idol will take place next week, on Feb. 18 and 19.
