The Foo Fighters were forced to pull out of its headlining slot at Glastonbury as a result of Dave Grohl's leg injury a few weeks ago, but reports are already suggesting that the band might be in the driver's seat again for 2016 already. Organizer Emily Eavis has stated that the festival has already booked its headliners for next year (despite the 2015 event taking place this weekend), and British tabloid The Sun claims to have knowledge that the Foo will be among them.

"Dave was beyond gutted about pulling out of Glastonbury, especially at such short notice," reported one of the anonymous sources cited in the article. "But Michael [Eavis] was quick to book him for next year as he's desperate for the Foos to headline. He knows they'll go down a storm at Glasto. Dave agreed within seconds."

As for the rest of the acts supposedly already booked for the 2016 event...The Sun has about as much clue as we do, which is none. Don't be surprised if Fleetwood Mac is among the list, as the Eavis family has been attempting to land the British act for years, and lost out to the Isle of Wight festival this year.

The Foo Fighters were playing a show in Gothenburg, Sweden, a few weeks back when Grohl fell off the stage and fractured his leg. The band only cancelled two dates at the time but was eventually forced to cancel all of the festival appearances that had been previously scheduled.

More importantly, who will be replacing the Foo Fighters at the 2015 festival? Florence + The Machine have been bumped up as a result of the absence, and it's somewhat appropriate: The band was forced to shorten its own festival sets earlier this year after frontwoman Florence Welch injured her leg while performing at Coachella. She's back at 100 percent now.
