Lil Wayne and Charlie Puth have linked up to deliver possibly the biggest track on Atlantic/Big Beat's soundtrack for the upcoming film 808 about the influence of the Roland RT-808. Presumably unlike the documentary, "Nothing But Trouble" laments the new breed of "model" that only aspires to gain traction on social media, notably Instagram and Twitter. Charlie Puth of "See You Again" fame carries the hook with his soft and vulnerable voice with that same theme.

"I'm facing the bottle for all of my problems/These Instagram models are nothing but trouble/She's going away now (Now it's over)/I'm going full throttle (You drive me crazy)/All these Instagram models/I said they're nothing but trouble," sings Puth.

Weezy takes care of the verses, recounting stories of superficial women who have afflicted them in his life.

"When I met her she was out for love/Yeah, I bought her leather and some diamond studs/Damn, when I met her she was not lit up/F*ck it, I said, 'Whatever' cause I'm not a judge/No, all my n*ggas say she's not what's up/Uh, I considered it but not enough/Uh, she just wanted to be popular/Uh, she just wanted a thousand followers/Oh. she posted, she posted, she posted," raps Wayne.

The pair may have a new hit on their hand with a very topical theme and the softness of Puth's voice blends very well with Weezy's nasally flow. The beat brings everything together nicely.

The question that must be asked now is when are we going to see a major push of Puth's own solo material. There must be plenty of it coming soon because he has a great voice that can go from just a feature guy to a full solo act.

Find more information on 808 the movie here, which will feature appearances form the likes of Rick Rubin, Pharrell, Questlove, Diplo, Afrika Bambaataa, Lil Jon and many more.

The tune will hit iTunes and Spotify tomorrow for those who with to purchase it. For now stream it below on YouTube.
