The son of singer Nick Cave passed away yesterday (July 14) after falling from a cliff in Brighton, England.

The Guardian reports 15-year-old Arthur Cave faced life threatening injuries at the Ovingdean Gap and later died of his injuries. Arthur was found by walkers 60 feet beneath the cliff.

Sussex police confirmed that a teenager had died at the Royal Sussex country hospital on Tuesday after sustaining injuries from falling off a cliff. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.

"A 15-year-old boy who was found with life-threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap, having fallen from the cliff above, has sadly died in hospital on Tuesday," a spokesperson said. "Members of the public carried out first aid on the boy before he was taken to the Royal Sussex county hospital, Brighton, just after 6pm. He later died there of his injuries. The death is being dealt with by the coroner's officer."

The boy was later confirmed to be Arthur Cave. Nick Cave, best known as the singer of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and his wife Susie Bick paid tribute to their son in a loving statement.

"Our son Arthur died on Tuesday evening. He was our beautiful, happy loving boy. We ask that we be given the privacy our family needs to grieve at this difficult time," they said.

Arthur leaves behind three brothers including his twin Earl Cave and his parents.
