Following a statement made on Tuesday by the parents of pop star Miley Cyrus (country musician Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus), it seems that the couple isn't going to call it quits after all. The pair announced that they were calling off the divorce announced in June.

Tish posted a photo of the couple on her Instagram account, with the caption "Date Night." The pair then released a more official statement.

"We both woke up and realized we love each other and decided we want to stay together," it read. "We both went into couples therapy something we haven't done in 22 years of being together, and it's brought us closer together and really opened up our communication in amazing ways. Tish also said marriage can be really hard especially after 22 years of being in entertainment. We've had rough times but we both realized we didn't want to be another statistic and wanted to make it work."

The decision to reverse the original decision was a long-time coming. Just ten days after making the announcement in June that they were getting the divorce, the couple was seen eating with Miley's little sister Noah in a family dinner atmosphere in California.

It may be too early to assume that everything is 100 percent however. After all, the Cyruses pulled a similar stunt in 2010, after declaring their divorce for the first time. And of course, undoing the divorce isn't going to be as simple as saying "never mind." Billy Ray and Tish both filed papers to make the move official, Billy Ray doing so in Nashville and Tish in California.

More attention might be being paid to the wedding plans of their daughter however. Miley is engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth, which automatically generates a flume of new rumors every day.
