Three rock bands that toe the line between alternative and mainstream rock will be teaming up this summer for a solid tour: Linkin Park, Thirty Seconds to Mars and AFI will take part in what's being called the "Carnivores Tour." We apologize for the crappy descriptor in the opening sentence, but that's really about all the bands have in common from a musical perspective...unless you know some more in-depth details about the groups involved.
The "Carnivore" moniker is a less-than-inside joke for fans of the bands involved: Every member of Thirty Seconds to Mars is vegan (including recent Oscar winner Jared Leto), three members of AFI are vegan, and Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington is a vegetarian. Not entirely unrelated, we have heard Jared Leto and AFI vocalist described as "pretty" more so than any other males we can think of. Kudos.
The tour will open with a date at West Palm Beach's Cruzan Amphitheater and travel north, before making its way out west to California, the hometown of all three bands (another similarity!)
