The Internet is buzzing this weekend with talk and video of surprise performances from this weekend's Global Citizen Festival in New York City including Beyoncé and Eddie Vedder's beautiful rendition of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song." But, the star-studded night didn't stop there as Chicago rapper, Common, took the stage with Sting for a couple of songs from The Police frontman's catalog including "Every Breath You Take" and "One World (Not Three)."

Thanks to a video via MSNBC, we can view the end of Common's addition to "Every Breath You Take" and the entirety of "One World (Not Three)," which perfectly fit the festival's theme of helping to tackle global problems.

"It may seem a million miles away but it gets a little closer every day," Sting sang on the song with the refrain "One world is enough, for all of us" -- a line that had the crowd on their feet singing and clapping along to the reggae tune.

"We are not a generation of bystanders," The Global Citizen Festival boldly states on its website. While millions of people watched the live stream from home, to actually attend the festival in New York City's Central Park one had to donate or take action to combat global poverty or inequality around the world. The festival was designed to coincide with the meeting of The United Nation in New York City this week as they discuss a new set of global goals to fight extreme poverty and protect our planet by 2030. Tickets were free but you had to donate to a cause.

Saturday was jam packed with performances from Pearl Jam, Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay, all of them bringing out their own special guests.
