Kate Bush performances are somewhat like Tool albums, in that you just have to live with the fact that there may be innumerable years between them. Bush's fans were probably shocked to see that the performer would be playing a string of shows in England later during 2014.

Calling it the performer's first tour since 1979 is a bit of a stretch, but some agencies have jumped on the idea. Bush will be playing 15 dates at the London Hammersmith Apollo during August and September. No plans for other dates have been announced, and with Bush's past as an indication, we wouldn't advise getting your hopes up.

The vocalist has only done one tour before, and as we mentioned, it was in 1979. She'd done occasional one-off shows and made special appearances at events since then, but she hasn't performed onstage since 2002, when she sang the role of the doctor for the track "Comfortably Numb" (she's a longtime friend of Pink Floyd's David Gilmour). Her last noted public appearance was during 2013 when she received the CBE for services to music. She's continued to release music however. Her last album, 50 Words for Snow came out during 2011.
