Ellie Goulding is a golden hit-maker and used to have the hair to match it, but the "Love Me Like You Do" singer debuted a shocking new style at the 2015 MTV EMAs in Milan on Sunday (Oct. 25). While Goulding changes her hairstyles frequently, her new orange coloring, or colouring in English terms, is by far her most daring yet.

Goulding made the rounds at the awards ceremony, signing autographs, posing for photos and interacting with the press and fans lined up along red carpet. To accompany her new hairstyle, she wore a simple, slinky black dress with more than enough cleavage to go around.

The Dail Mail reported that Goulding performed her smash hit "Love Me Like You Do" at the EMAs and was introduced by Ruby Rose with the clever line, "She has a golden name, a silver voice, she's being introduced by a ruby and she's performing in a diamond. She sang it from within a diamond shaped confection that opened up. She was up for Best Song for the same track as well as well as Best Female Artist.

For Best Song ("Love Me Like You Do") she was competing against winner Taylor Swift for "Bad Blood" as well as Major Lazer and DJ Snake's "Lean On," Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's "See You Again" and "Uptown Funk" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. She also lost Best Female to Rihanna.

But fashion is as much of a competition as any at the MTV EMAs and Goulding certainly won out with her orange hairstyle.
