Countdown to Sundown With Tim McGraw

Tim McGraw's new album, Sundown Heaven Town, will be hitting stores on September 16, 2014. This weekend, during the Academy of Country Music Awards show, the country star will kick off a new and unique program called "Countdown to Sundown" to promote the album. When fans use their Shazam smartphone app during his performance on the show, they can join the Countdown program which gives them access to exclusive content and a chance to win a season pass for two tickets to each of Tim’s Sundown Heaven summer tour dates, including an all-expenses-paid trip to the opening-night show on May 8. Tim will be sharing music, stories and fun throughout summer, making the time fans have to wait for the album more fun.

In a press release, Tim talked about the Countdown idea, saying, "I’m in the unique position this year that I’m able to tour ahead of the album and introduce the fans to these songs early. I’ve never done anything like this before, but in a world driven by immediate gratification, I want to be able to play a song live somewhere and then have it available for download right then."

The Sundown Heaven Tour will visit 30 cities in the U.S. and Canada and will feature Kip Moore and Cassadee Pope.
