This Saturday night, a BLACK night will fall on Brooklyn. The BLACK Music & Arts Project will take over the Brooklyn Hanger with a lineup of Gesaffestein (DJ Set), Jon Hopkins (Live), Flat White (Virgil Abloh) and GENER8ION. To celebrate the occasion we have teamed up with MATTE, the creators of BLACK and Full Moon Festival to present a playlist to get you ready for this all night affair in Brooklyn on Saturday night.
The event will take place in a massive 2-floor warehouse. The top floor will consist of a 15,000 square foot space with a custom stage and lighting setup for the four performers. The equally large, white-walled basement will be split up into six different rooms each filled with a different visual artist. Black is the amalgamation of all color, so each room will represent a different color being interpreted by the visual artists in those spaces.
The playlist draws on some of the biggest tracks by each of the acts on the bill this Saturday. Tracks from Gesaffelstein's celebrated album Aleph are included as well as Jon Hopkins collaboration with Purity Ring "Air."
