Lorde's performance of "Magnets" with Disclosure Saturday night (Nov. 14) on SNL was certainly magnetizing and pitch perfect, but don't think that means that the "Royals" singer forgot the "live" part of Saturday Night Live. After some viewers questioned whether or not Lorde was singing to a backing track, the 19-year-old pop star denied that she would every lip sync.

Lorde, who was tickled beyond belief to take the stage on Saturday Night Live, denied the lip syncing rumors shortly after her performance on NBC. She defended herself on Twitter, saying that the lip sync rumors were an "honor" (presumably because she sounded so crisp live).

The Nov. 14 performance was Lorde's debut on Saturday Night Live, where she fronted Disclosure for a performance of their collaborative track "Magnets." The single appears on Disclosure's new album Caracal, which was released earlier this fall. Along with her stunning live vocals, Lorde also brought along her signature passionate dance moves.

Lorde wasn't the only singer to accompany Disclosure on Saturday Night Live. Sam Smith also joined the EDM duo for "Omen." Other musical moments on this week's SNL included the female cast members (and host Elizabeth Banks) singing about those guys who first got their motors running with the track "First Got Horny 2 U."

Saturday Night Live will wrap up its November shows with a high profile musical performance from Adele on Nov. 21. Matthew McConaughey will host.
