Above & Beyond have announced the dates and venues for their upcoming Acoustic II Tour. The seminal UK trance trio will take their live show to various cities around the world in 2016, kicking off on May 5 at the Royal Albert Hall in London and ending a month later at the Sydney Opera House on June 6. The tour will be accompanied by a second Acoustic album, following their 2013 LP.
The Above & Beyond Acoustic tour will take the trio to various historic theaters and outdoor amphitheaters around the globe. They will perform on three continents, North America, Europe and Australia.
The tour kicks off in London and then spends the rest of May in North America, hitting various venues in Chicago, Toronto, Boston, Los Angeles and Honolulu. They will play two shows in New York City at the Beacon Theater. The tour will end where the trio made the announcement of this tour and album - Sydney, Australia - changing scenery from the Allphones Arena where they held their Group Therapy 150 celebration to the Sydney Opera House.
The upcoming Acoustic tour would be an expanded version of what they did the first time around with album one in 2013. The group commissioned a small orchestra to help write and record acoustic arrangements of their songs, including Oceanlab tracks, and then went out and performed them at Porchester Hall in London and then again at the Greek Theater.
