According to Heavy's coverage of today's match, Brazilian defender David Luiz is suspended this game after receiving a yellow card in Friday's match against Argentina, which ended in a draw. His replacement is Atletico Mineiro defender Jemerson

"I didn't believe it. I was going home from training with my friend. Someone called me and [technical director] Gilmar [Rinaldi] was on the telephone saying I had been selected," he said, according to BeInSport. "I thought it was a prank. I called my agent to find out if it was true, but he didn't answer. Gradually, I understood."

Tim Vickery  over at ESPN FC explained in his pre-match article that Brazil need a victory today since the tie with Argentina hasn't done much for them in terms of getting to the qualifiers. According to Vickery, Brazil need to stop depending on Neymar Jr., who has been the only entertainment football fans have seen in the country's games.

Peru beat Paraguay last week, putting a little more pressure on Brazil today. Though it only gives them three points in the tournament, it means they can handle a strong attacking team, which Brazil usually exemplifies.
