This news doesn't mean Messi is ready to leave Barcelona and La Liga - we're simply hearing reports that he's ready to open the discussion surrounding transfers and offers. "I don't want to look too far ahead," Messi told Yahoo! Sports' Guillem Balague when asked if he'd consider playing for another league. "I live for the moment and at this moment I am with Barcelona in the Spanish League where I have made my living and where I live very well."
So Lionel Messi is "ready to listen" to offers from the Premier League, but we probably have a few years to wait before he heads to England - or even thoroughly considers it!
