The Record Store Day Black Friday event brings endless treasures of limited-edition releases to light, and this year, on Nov. 27, The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach will release a 10-inch with his side project the Arcs, titled, The Arcs vs. The Inventors Vol. 1. Monday brought the unveiling of the exclusive, eerie track, "Young," which can be found on the six-song EP.

"Sometimes the best way to see into the future is to study the past. In this series we do both, collaborating with folks who have been in the game a long time but instead of rehashing old material, we collaborate on new works, explore new ideas and introduce each other to a different generational perspective," Auerbach explained in a statement, in reference to the EP. "We'll continue in this series to track down our heroes and bug them until they agree to make some noise with us. Hopefully we learn a thing or two."

The unnerving track was co-penned by David Berman of the Silver Jews while the entire EP, which comes as the first segment of Auerbach's Inventors series, boasts further collaborations with Dr. John, Los Lobos' David Hidalgo, Rolling Stone notes.

"We've been meeting at night, writing together for a few years," Auerbach said in a statement about collaborating with Berman. "This is the first time we've shared any of that. The Arcs have recorded more songs from the collaboration and we hope to release more of it very soon."

As of late, Auerbach joined foreces with those in Cage the Elephant, acting as producer of their fourth studio album Tell Me I'm Pretty. The Black Keys member previously worked with Lana Del Rey on Ultraviolence and Ray LaMontagne's Supernova.

According to Consequence of Sound, Nonesuch Records is slated to digitally release The Arcs vs. The Inventors Vol 1. On Dec. 11.
