Diddy is the poster child of hip-hop wealth.

The hip-hop mogul is $120 million richer than he was last year and was recently named Forbes' wealthiest hip-hop artist.

Diddy has an estimated fortune of $700 million. Forbes says the drastic increase in wealth can be attributed to the addition of Revolt TV.

He is majority owner of the new music-based cable network.

And its safe to say Diddy is in a league of his own. His closet competition brought in $150 million less than he did.

Dr. Dre ranked second with $550 million and Jay Z came in third place with an estimated $520 million.

Dr. Dre's leap on the list comes in part by a large stake in Beats By Dr. Dre, which the rapper/producer cofounded with Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine in 2008.

Jay Z has Roc Nation to thank for his economic growth.

Jay's record label and management firm that recently added a sports agency, which according to Forbes gets a single-digit cut of pacts like Robinson Cano's $240 million deal.

Birdman and 50 Cent round out the list in the fourth and fifth spots, respectfully.

Forbes reports that Birdman would have a net worth over $300 million if he didn't share his fortune from Cash Money Records with his brother Ronald "Slim" Williams.

Fitty reportedly owes most of his wealth to his $100 million haul from the sale of Vitaminwater back in 2007.

As previously reported, hip-hop's cash cow will be speaking at Howard University's commencement.

Diddy attended H.U. for a short period.
