The 2015 Soul Train Awards aired over the weekend hosted by Erykah Badu. As expected, the "Call Tyrone" icon brought big fashion and big laughs to the stage, but it was her opening bit that's got everyone talking. After declaring that she'd be banning all rap for the night to focus on R&B and soul, Badu then took "calls" from rappers Young Thug, Andre 3000 and Iggy Azalea, eventually tell the Aussie MC she could attend because her music isn't considered rap.

"You can come" she told Azalea, "because what you're doing is definitely not rap."

This resulted in some cheers from the crowd, and fans immediately taking to social media to talk about the dig.

Interestingly enough, the camera panned over to rapper Jidenna of "Classic Man" fame, whose labelmate and frequent collaborator Janelle Monae called out Azalea during a joint interview over the summer on Ebro in The Morning. "She steal from us, we steal back", Monae declared during a discussion about whether or not Jidenna's break out single samples Azalea's hit "Fancy."

"Some of the people have said Iggy Azalea is getting paid off this record," Jidenna explained. "The truth is, we actually didn't sample it. But ever since the decision of Robin Thicke and Pharrell, we believe that it was important to make sure that we are safe."

Azalea has yet to respond, and Badu has also remained pretty quiet on the matter instead continuing to promote her new mixtape But You Caint Use My Phone.
