After taking the world by storm with her third studio album, 25, Adele will take to The X Factor U.K. stage at Wembley Arena for the first time ever to perform her smash hit, "Hello," during the show's season finale. One Direction and Coldplay are also listed to perform the season 12 finale of the famed singing contest that gave the boy band their quick shot to stardom.

"Adele will be taking to The X Factor stage to perform her number one single "Hello" during the series grand final," production firm Thames announced on Thursday, Billboard notes.

It's a show tradition that each finalist performs a duet with an illustrious artist with Ella Henderson, Labrinth and Ed Sheeran serving as 2014's musical guests. "Everybody on the X Factor is thrilled. [Adele is] the singer everyone wanted as we've been trying to make it happen for weeks. Adele is a phenomenon and now only adds to what will be an epic night," a source told The Sun. Coldplay will execute their latest A Head Full of Dreams track, "Adventure of a Lifetime," while the guys in One Direction will take on their hit single, "Infinity."

Saturday night's episode will bring X Factor greats Little Mix and Fleur East together for a unique collaboration along with performances by previous X Factor U.K. winners Leona Lewis and Ben Haenow. The Simon Cowell-headed show has struggled a bit with ratings during its 12th season and the show's future has looked bleak ever since rumors circulated that ITV purchased the rights to rival singing competition show, The Voice.

The "When We Were Young" singer recently recorded TV specials for both the BBC and NBC is promotion of her latest studio album, the follow up to sophomore album 21 and her debut, 19. The BBC edition brought about a hilarious skit, which found the singer dressed up as an Adele impersonator in a room full of her biggest fans.
