When Outkast first announced its reunion in January, the excitement from fans everywhere was tangible. The famous duo has come back stronger than ever after a seven-year hiatus. The reunion seemed to be limited to the 20th anniversary of the Coachella music festival at first. However, the duo then announced that they would be doing an additional 40 festivals.

Fast forward four months, and the duo is still on what seems like a never-ending festival run. This past weekend, Outkast headlined the Counterpoint Music Festival in Georgia. Although it used the same 24-song setlist as it second week performance in Coachella, the rap group had a few surprise cameos that included Dungeon Family members Killer Mike and Sleepy Brown.

Performer Janelle Monáe joined the stage while Outkast performed its hit "Hey Ya." She didn't sing during the surprise performance, but instead danced along while Andre 3000 sang what is arguably the duo's most well known song. Monáe danced the way we all do to the amazingly catchy song—although that kind of dancing usually takes place in our bedrooms alone. Although it would have been great if she belted out a few notes, she looked like she was having a blast on stage.

This collaboration isn't the first for the two acts. Monáe was featured in the track "Call the Law" for the album Idlewild in 2006. The musical friendship continued when she featured Outkast's Big Boi in her 2010 album The ArchAndroid on the track "Tightrope."

Hopefully they keep making music together!
