Even though "All I Want for Christmas is You" has been ousted as the most listened to Christmas song in department stores, Mariah Carey is still finding a way to spread holiday cheer. The pop diva has decided to team up with up Funny or Die for an eight episode series as she prepares for holiday festivities in Mariah's Holiday Sketchtacular.

A handful of series within the segment will follow the divorced mother of two as she auditions a number of Santas for a forthcoming holiday series event while other installments feature the Christmas music icon in an animated storytelling edition of "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Funny or Die's Bryan Safi will also make an appearance during Carey's holiday cooking lesson.

"I loved collaborating with Funny or Die on this series of holiday-themed sketches," Carey said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. "These videos are fun, festive and full of holiday cheer, and I had an absolute blast making them." The series will be available on Verizon's go90 video app come Tuesday (Dec. 22).

"We at Funny Or Die feel strongly that you haven't celebrated the holidays until you've listened (preferably in one sitting) to Merry Christmas, Mariah Carey's landmark album from 1994," Mike Farah, FOD president of production said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "So when given the opportunity to re-team with Mariah, the indisputable Queen of Christmas, on a holiday inspired sketch comedy series, we thought it was the perfect and hilarious addition to our go90 channel."

Everyone knows the beginning tune and trailing lyrics to Carey's popularized Christmas track, which has now fallen in the ranks as most listened to Christmas song while The Shins' " Wonderful Christmastime" swiped the No. 1 spot.

Carey will return to the touring circuit with her upcoming Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour jaunt in Europe, her first in the continent in nearly 13 years.
