Cozz has just announced that he will be releasing his new project, Nothin Personal, on January 4th and we couldn't be more excited! The Dreamville rapper took the J. Cole approach and announced the debut with very short notice but to excite his fans, he included a video trailer in the announcement. The trailer includes a preview of one of Cozz's new tracks. Take a look at the trailer below.

Nothin Personal is the long-awaited followup to Cozz's debut album, Cozz & Effect, which dropped in October, 2014. Prior to that Cozz signed to J. Cole's Dreamville/Interscope in June, 2014. Since then he has been making quite the name for himself. The rapper was recently featured on Dreamville's Revenge of the Dreamers II along with his label-mates, Bas, Omen, J.Cole, Ari Lennox and Lute. This past September he performed at Made in America alongside Bas and Omen in Philadelphia.

If these facts don't intrigue you to check out Cozz, also note that he was on J. Cole's Forest Hills Drive tour and has a pretty large fanbase already. The rapper flows well and knows how to sway his lyrics in a way that keep you wanting more, "Imagine if I stopped rhymin' and settle for top ramen/Got content with the crib that my pop's lie in, never stop moppin'/On that nine to five job sh*t,f*ck that!/I'd rather go comic and go to Gotham/And meet with Batman and start robbin."

If you want to hear more, watch his most recent video, "Knock Tha Hustle (Remix)," featuring J. Cole. The black and white video has a very 90's, nostalgic feel to it while Cozz visits different parts of New York City.
