5 Seconds of Summer got their start with acoustic renditions of popular songs on YouTube, and now the band has channeled that beginning once again. On Monday night (Jan. 4), 5SOS appeared on CONAN to give a stripped down rendition of their Sounds Good Feels Good cut "Hey, Everybody!"

Though the Duran Duran sampling track is filled with energy in its original form, "Hey, Everybody!" works shockingly well in the stripped down scenario. Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood all sat comfortably on stools and strummed on acoustic guitars while Ashton Irwin remained behind his drum kit, as per usual.

With the band alternating vocal duties, this plucky little tune got just the makeover it needed for the new year.

"Hey, Everybody!" was the second single to be released from 5SOS' sophomore album Sounds Good Feels Good, which was released in October 2015. It was sandwiched between the release of "She's Kinda Hot" and "Jet Black Heart."
