It's clear that the Derby County Rams are the underdogs, but we know that, in football, any outcome is possible. As fullback Stephen Warnock points out in a new interview with his team's website, Derby's underdog status could work to their advantage.
"They're a huge club and they bring in a certain audience because there are people who always want to see how they are doing. All eyes are going to be on them, but we will be looking to put in a performance," Warnock says. "We want to win every game that we go into, that's the case more so, though, when you play a team like Manchester United. They will be expecting to come here and put in a good display, but both sides are experiencing a similar run of form in terms of results, so it will be interesting to see how both sides react. These are the sorts of teams that we want to be facing week in, week out, that was the benchmark that we set at the start of the season. We will have the chance to pit our wits against a top Premier League team on Friday and it's going to be an exciting game for everyone to be involved in."
This game might mean even more to United though. Manager Louis Van Gaal is facing a ton of pressure due to some sad performances in the EPL. Will today change all that or confirm his exit?
