Coldplay is easily one of the biggest bands in the world, with such hits as "Yellow," "In My Place," "Paradise," and many more, earning them a coveted spot alongside other performers like Bruno Mars and Beyonce in the halftime show for Super Bowl 50 on February 7, 2016. Despite the band's apparent fame and important role in the biggest football event in the world, Denver Broncos star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has no idea what Coldplay is.

Thomas' lack of insight into the British band was revealed this week during a press junket. According to ESPN.com's Jane McManus, Thomas had a revealing answer regarding his favorite Coldplay song. Check out McManus' Twitter post right here (via UPROXX):

It's a fair question, and a fair answer! Coldplay is in another realm of pop music that isn't affected by how many professional athletes know or care about them. In fact, according to a new feature over at GQ magazine's website, not many sports fans know about Coldplay and have plenty of ideas about what "Coldplay" really means because it's clearly not a band in their minds.
