Ciara and her ex-fiance Future have had a tenuous relationship for some time regarding their son, baby Future. The father of her son is known to make defamatory statements in the past regarding her parenting skills, as well as dissing her relationship with new boyfriend Russell Wilson. Taking a stand against her ex, Ciara is now suing her ex for $15 million for his slander and libel against her.
As reported by TMZ, Ciara filed the lawsuit against Future for some tweets and a few radio interviews where he attacked her relationship with now boyfriend Russell Wilson.
Future has been outspoken against his baby mama and her new beau Wilson, even saying that she's trying to make Wilson look like a better father figure. “She probably set him Russell up. You letting him catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts," he said about a photo of Wilson pushing baby Future in a stroller.
Ciara additionally cites several other interviews as well as a Twitter rant where he reportedly said, “This b*tch got control problems… I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future.”
In Ciara’s lawsuit against Future, she also asserts that she always makes sure Future is able to see their son, and cites 19 visitations since December 2014. TMZ had also recently obtained a video of Future visiting his son in L.A. when Ciara was on vacation with Wilson.
In suing for slander and libel, Ciara is asking for Future’s mean-spirited tweets to be deleted and wants him prevented from talking about family situations in the future.

Following the nasty tweets it’s understandable why Ciara might sue, especially considering that Future has in the past discussed their former sex life on air.
A source close to Ciara claimed that Future is just trying to stay relevant by dissing the singer in the media, saying, “Ciara has said that Future uses the situation to promote his music by staying in the press using her name. He is jealous that she has moved on and is happy. He is unable to move on and co-parent in a healthy way. Future has told her he hopes she fails in everything she does and that’s just being evil."
