John Mayer recently did his own rendition of Beyoncé's "XO" and in the process made the entire world remember why we love him, despite his questionable personality. Luckily, it turns out we're not the only ones who dig the tune; Billboard reports it's becoming quite a popular download since recently being released.

Mayer's version of Bey's "XO" launched at Number 13 on Billboard's Hot Rock Songs chart. In total, Nielsen SoundScan reported the tune held 46,000 downloads last week, with the week ending on June 1. The original version of "XO"––written by Beyoncé, The-Dream and Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic)––debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at Number 66 and seemingly peaked at Number 45. It has since sold approximately 365,000 downloads.

The singer-songwriter and noted TMZ favorite introduced us all to his beautiful cover back in April while touring in Australia. Shortly thereafter, he released a studio version.

The last time Mayer showed up on the Hot Rock Songs chart was with "Who You Love." The song was the guitarist's duet alongside former girlfriend Katy Perry from his latest album, Paradise Valley.

Mayer has been seen more around town as of late. He showed up in Los Angeles where TMZ got him to bring back the funnyman of the past.
