Iggy Azalea recently opened up about Lorde's Nirvana tribute at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and she wasn't feeling it.

Iggy was featured on this week's issue of Billboard as its Hot 100 No. 1 artist. She took this opportunity to speak on the performance.

"Nothing against her, but I think when you're doing a tribute to someone that's dead, generally it should be the person's peer," Iggy told the magazine. "Lorde is not Kurt Cobain's peer. No matter if she killed the performance or not, I just don't think it's appropriate."

Talk about a tough critic.

The Huffington Post reports that during the April 10 tribute performance, Kim Gordon, Joan Jett, Annie Clark and Lorde each sang a Nirvana song with Pat Smear and original Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic

Lorde closed the set with "All Apologies."

The "Royals" singer has not yet responded but we're sure its coming. Lorde has not been one to shy away from controversy.

In fact, she stood up for Iggy back in April after she says the Australian rapper was being profiled negatively by the media.

"bugs me how publications like complex will profile interesting artists in order to sell copies/get clicks and then sh– on their records?" Lorde wrote after posting side-by-side image of Iggy Azalea's Complex cover story and a recent not-so-good review of The New Classic.

According to MTV, she went on to write, "it happens to me all the time- pitchfork and that ilk being like 'can we interview you?' after totally taking the piss out of me in a review. have a stance on an artist and stick to it. don't act like you respect them then throw them under the bus."

Do you think Lorde should respond to Iggy Azalea? Let us know your thoughts.
