The 2014 FIFA World Cup begins today (June 12) in Brazil, and the whole world is stoked for the big soccer/football/futbol experience, including former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland. To help celebrate the biggest event in worldwide sports, Rowland has released a new FIFA-themed music video for her own World Cup anthem "The Game," with a little help from Spike Lee.

The song itself features some smooth R&B beats, with sporty marching drums and rousing whistles rousing up the imaginary crowd. Meanwhile, Rowland blasts off in her vocals, cheering on her own team (USA!) to the victory for "The Game."

The music video itself doesn't feature Rowland in any real capacity, but instead focuses on the adventures of a young Brazillian boy who hopes to make it on his own as a futbol player.

Wearing a #10 jersey with the name Pixote on it, the child makes his way through his downtrodden village, encountering many bullies and detractors before inevitably making his way to the official FIFA 2014 stadium. Here, he is triumphant, scoring a goal in the massive stadium, proving that he has won "The Game" after all.

It's the kind of hope and sportsmanship fun that the World Cup inspires.

Rowland isn't the only one to have a World Cup anthem for 2014. She joins the likes of Janelle Monae (who performed "Heroes" on Letterman last night), Timbaland and more on the Pepsi-curated compilation album Beats of the Beautiful Game. And, of course, there's this year's controversial, official anthem "We Are One (Ole Ola)" by Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup kicks off (lol) today in Brazil. Dale!
