Chris Brown was arrested by members of the Los Angeles Police Department at his home on Tuesday after he allegedly threatened Miss California Regional 2016 title holder Baylee Curran with a gun. He was apprehended after a 10 hour standoff with police.

According to TMZ, the incident started after Curran called 911 to report that Brown had threatened her with a firearm. As noted by the victim, she and her friend visited Brown at his home in Tarzana, a neighborhood at California's San Francisco Valley.

While she was there, a member of Brown's entourage brought out a piece of jewelry. After Curran started admiring the item, the rapper immediately got angry at her and pointed a gun at her head. Curran claimed that Brown threatened her and asked her to leave his home.

Curran also told TMZ that Brown's crew refused to give back her cellphone until she signed a non-disclosure agreement. Refusing to sign the document, she decided to leave her phone at the rapper's home.

After the pageant title holder made the 911 call, police officers responded to the scene at around 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Since they did not have a search warrant with them, they were unable to enter the rapper's home. The rapper also refused to come out and even ranted about the police in an Instagram video he posted during the incident.

Mark Geragos, Brown's attorney, arrived at his client's house at around 12:30 p.m. A few minutes later, members of the artist's entourage started coming out of the front door where they were greeted by the waiting police officers.

At around 2:30, Brown emerged from his home. Based on the images obtained by TMZ, the rapper looked calm while he was speaking with police officers. He was taken into custody due to the assault charges made against him by Curran and brought to downtown Los Angeles for booking, according to Billboard.
