Zayn Malik has cancelled yet another concert because of anxiety that he is suffering from. This past June, Malik cancelled his scheduled appearance at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium in London. At the time that Malik cancelled, he said that “the worst anxiety of my career” was the reason behind it.

Concert promoters 117 Live released a statement that confirmed that the Dubai gig scheduled in October had been cancelled.

The direct message posted my Malik reads, “I have been working over the last three months to overcome my extreme anxiety around major live solo performance. I feel I am making progress but I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October. I am assured that all tickets will be refunded. I am truly sorry to disappoint you. I hope to see you all soon. Thank you all my fans who support me globally.”

The concert that Malik cancelled was slated to be held at the Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena on October 7.

Malik’s star has been rising since he left his former band, One Direction, last year and released his first single, “Pillowtalk,” this past February. The single racked up 112,000 copies in the first week of release and was at one time the fastest selling single of 2016 according to NME.

His solo album, Mind Of Mine, was released this past March, and it marked an important milestone as the first ever album by a solo British male artist to debut at number one in the US market. He also recently made an appearance on MIA’s new song, “Freedun.”
