UPDATE: The Weeknd is still performing at Meadows Festival, despite the previous announcement. He is instead performing at 6:15 p.m.

The Weeknd just managed to get Daft Punk out from their seclusion to make a new song "Starboy" but he is pulling out of live gigs. The Weeknd will no longer perform at Meadows Festival in New York City next weekend due to "unforeseen scheduling conflicts." In his place on the 2016 lineup is J. Cole.

J. Cole now takes the place at the top of the lineup on Saturday, Oct. 1. He will perform that day alongside others such as Empire of the Sun, Pretty Lights, Damian Marley, Grimes, Thomas Jack, ZHU, Savages, Chromeo, Yeasayer and Kamasi Washington.

His fellow rappers, Kanye West and Chance the Rapper, will headline the following night, Oct. 2. Other names on the lineup for Sunday include Kygo, The 1975, Bryson Tiller, Mac Miller, Cage The Elephant, Metric, Twin Shadow, who will perform Purple Rain, Pusha T, Borns, The Temper Trap and more.

J. Cole performed at fellow Founders Entertainment festival, Governors Ball in 2014, so this will bring him back to the same event brand two years later, but this time as a headliner.

The set times have not been released yet by Meadows Festival.

Meadows Festival is offering single day refunds for Saturday tickets and offering two-day upgrades for Sunday single-day purchases. That information can be found on their website.

Meadows Music & Arts Festival will take place Oct. 1-2 at Citi Field, Flushing Corona Park in Queens, New York.

Can J. Cole pull off this concert without any features? Damn right he can.
