Drake fans will be disappointed to hear the news he just dropped on his blog. According to the "One Dance" artist, he has to postpone several upcoming shows on his Summer Sixteen Tour with Future because of an ankle injury.

He noted in the blog that he has to postpone shows in Toronto (his hometown), Philadelphia and one of the two in Newark. He is only doing one of the two because he hasn't done one yet in Newark.

"We are over 50 shows in and I have done everything to power through my recent ankle injury and leave it all out there on the stage every night," he wrote. "I hate to be told I can't do something, but under doctor's orders to allow me time to recuperate I am being forced to postpone the intense three shows in a row in cities which have only ever shown me unconditional support."

He promises to see his fans again soon with some new music and a better ankle. If the fans can hold out for a little longer, it may be worth it to see a healthy Drake with some new music as well.

"I only want to give you the best show you deserve, I promise-I will make it up to you," he writes.

The tour has taken Drake to various arenas all over North America over the past three months. He has had many special guests along the way such as Rihanna, Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne and Big Sean.

No word on when those dates will be rescheduled, but that information will be brought to you soon.
