The Katy Perry dating rumor mill continues to turn. It seems like 2013 has become the year of Katy Perry and her dating life. There is the ongoing news of dirty details regarding her divorce from Russell Brand, but also new updates about her break-up and getting back together with fellow singer John Mayer. The latest news seems to be that the "Fireworks" singer has laid down a few relationship rules for Mayer, while the two spend a romantic Fourth of July holiday together.
According to a source with Life & Style magazine, Perry is demanding that Mayer get rid of his old girlfriends and no longer text any of them. That's not all. "Katy wants more dinners and date nights, and for him to be more romantic with her," says the Life & Style source. That sounds great, but doesn't it seem like Katy is trying to change John? Maybe Katy should just date someone who already meets those criteria?
It seems to be working for the short term; however, as the New York Post reports that the two are spending the Fourth of July together. The couple is reportedly spending the holiday weekend in the Hamptons. Perry was spotted in East Hampton earlier this week walking along with her bike.
Perry obviously is still in love with Mayer. In fact, she told Vogue recently in an interview she was still "madly in love" with Mayer. "All I can say about that relationship is that he's got a beautiful mind," Perry revealed to Vogue. "Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds."
Let's just hope Perry doesn't get her heart broken again.
