It will be six weeks after Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) was able to take down Mayor Hamilton (Steven Weber) in the “NCIS: New Orleans” Season 4 premiere. Titled “Rogue Nation,” the episode will show Pride still on probation after his rogue tactics almost cost him and the team their jobs.
Meanwhile, the team will be closely monitored by Supervisory Special Agent Paula Boyd (Becky Ann Baker) according to Parade. For a while, even they doubted whether Pride had lost his sanity but soon rallied behind him in his mission last season in “NCIS: New Orleans”. Agent Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) had to convince the other members of the team that they needed her former boss at the FBI, Assistant Director Isler (Derek Webster), to help them.
Mayor Hamilton had so many people in his payroll that the team didn’t know who they could trust in New Orleans. Pride was able to finally get him to reveal his plan of taking over Clearwater, which they will flood in order to push out its residents.
Although Isler later took the credit himself for saving Clearwater, he was able to get the badges of the NCIS team members including Pride. But, he will still be on probation when “NCIS: New Orleans” returns on September 25 on CBS.
EP Chris Silber said that they were really excited about what they’ve done in the previous season of “NCIS: New Orleans” reports TV Guide. The kind of stories that they would want to continue to tell are similar to when the viewers met Gregorio’s ex-husband and saw what their relationship was like. “It stood alone but also dealt with the relationships between our characters and it really gives us something to reflect back on,” he added.
Also because of what went down in “NCIS: New Orleans” last season, the team will be closely monitored in order to keep them in line. In the featured case of the season premiere which involves a stolen big rig of nuclear waste, the team will be secretly investigating from the sidelines while the FBI runs lead on the case.
