Big Sean announces he will be postponing his upcoming tour. The rapper says that he wants to focus on his new songs.
Majority of the venues where Sean was supposed to perform have also attached a note from the rapper, explaining why his shows have been pushed back.
"To all my fans: I've been in a deep creative space and decided I need to stay focused in the studio - so unfortunately, I am postponing my upcoming tour. I learned in life you have to follow your intuition - I hope you do the same. Thank you for your continued love and support. It means the world to me. Trust, we are working on something special for you all," said Sean.
Big Sean first announced his Unfriendly Reminder Tour earlier this month. The "Bounce Back" singer also uploaded a poster with 30 confirmed dates and venues. Last month, Sean also teased his fans with his tour and new music.
"A lot of the tours are based off of one project. I wanna do something that's a culmination of everything," said Sean.
Who Is Big Sean?
Big Sean is a 29-year-old American rapper who signed with Kanye West's GOOD Music in 2007. He transferred to Def Jams recording a year later and then signed with Roc Nation in 2014.
Throughout the span of his music career, Sean has already released several albums, namely Double or Nothing, I Decided, Dark Sky Paradise, Hall of Fame, Detroit, and Finally Famous.
Some of his most famous songs include "Blessings," "Mercy," "Moves," "Beware," "Pull Up N Wreck," "Dance," "I Know," "Jump Out the Window," "One Man Can Change the World," "Play No Games," "Sacrifices," "No Favors," "Go Legend," and more.
Big Sean Talks About Eminem, New Album
Earlier this year, Sean opened up about his I Decided album, as well as his collaboration with Eminem in "No Favors." The rapper said that Eminem is the only person he wanted to record the song with. When he heard Eminem's verse, he could not stop listening to it over and over again.
The rapper also dubbed his latest album as his "Snapchat of Life," because I Decided means so many things to him.
"I feel like life is all about the decisions you make. This is what I decided. That's why I put a period in the end of it. Because it's definitive. I Decided. Period. You go through the different moments in life and they make you who you are," said Sean.
