Oscar-winning actor-singer Jared Leto revealed he will be traveling across the country to promote Thirty Seconds to Mars' new album, America.

Promoting Across America

To promote the record, which is the band's first album in five years, Thirty Seconds to Mars' electrifying frontman is applying his bold marketing campaign which is traveling across the United States, from New York to California. Leto had stated that he would be making pit stops across numerous cities through various modes of transportation.

Among the highlights of his journey was a mini roadtrip to Cleveland, Ohio, with collaborator A$AP Rocky. The duo traveled to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while they were there.

Next on Leto's schedule was a showstopping performance at the Willis Tower Skydeck in Chicago. When he was at the iconic landmark, Leto surprised fans with a surprise performance of "Walk on Water." Songwriter and record producer Stevie Aiello and the New Faith Baptist Church International Choir joined him on the exclusive performance.

Recently, ABC News tracked down Leto to Dallas, Texas, where he was expected to stop at the Texas Motor Speedway. Leto will finish his cross-country travel on Friday, April 6.

'America' 101

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Leto stated that he wanted to make an album based on the United States of America. He added that he wanted the record to reflect essential themes such as instability, uncertainty, hope, and possibility. He also revealed that Thirty Seconds to Mars created a visual companion for the album.

"We filmed a single day in the life of America and created this documentary that is a portrait of our country in a really important time, a time of change, a time of some instability and uncertainty, but also a time of hope. And the album is the soundtrack for this film," said Leto to ABC News.

Collaborators And Concert Tour

When America is released this Friday, April 6, several critical collaborations will be seen the album. The song "One Track Mind" is a collaboration between the band and A$AP Rocky. Also, Leto had the opportunity to duet with rising pop sensation Halsey on the track "Love is Madness."

This summer, Thirty Seconds To Mars will travel across North America with "The Monolith Tour." The band is expected to perform in Chicago, New York, San Diego, Miami, and Houston.

Leto's Other Projects

Before he reunited with Thirty Seconds To Mars, Leto visited the world of Blade Runner 2049 with Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling. Also, he portrayed a controversial version of The Joker in the 2016 film Suicide Squad.  Leto's Joker was featured heavily in Skrillex and Rick Ross' "Purple Lamborghini" music video.
