Alanis Morrissette's long, wavy, brown hair has been her signature look since the '90s, but the "Ironic" singer recently decided to chop it all off.

Extreme Makeover

In new series of photos, the 43-year-old was spotted sporting a pixie cut backstage the musical Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway. Morrissette, wearing tinted vintage glasses (complete with chains) and white dress, was all smiles as she posed alongside her partner, Souleye.

This is not the first time that fans took notice of the singer-songwriter's new look. She first showed off her short hair on Instagram a couple of weeks ago where she has been sharing behind-the-scenes work for her new project, the musical Jagged Little Pill.

Morrissette has also previously tinkered with her look back in 2014 when she traded her chocolate brown hair for platinum blonde. She, however, kept her locks long back then.

'Jagged Little Pill,' The Broadway Musical

Morissette has been gearing for the stage debut of the musical since it was first announced in 2013. It is based on her third studio album, also titled Jagged Little Pill, released back in 1995.

The 13-track LP produced the hit singles "You Oughta Know," "Hand In My Pocket," "Head Over Feet," and, of course, "Ironic."

Jagged Little Pill reached the top spot of Billboard 200 back in 1995 and scored several Hot 100 hits. The album was also certified diamond by the Recording Industry Asociation of America for selling 16 million copies since its release.

Morissette has several nominations and wins including Best Rock Album and Album of the Year from the Grammys.

The album celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015.

"This team that has come together for this Jagged Little Pill musical is my musical theatre dream come true," she said in an interview last year. "The chemistry between all of us is crackling and I feel honored to be diving into these songs again, surrounded by all of this searing talent. Diablo [Cody] and [director] Diane [Paulus]are already taking these deeply personal songs that are part of my soul's marrow to a whole other level of hope, freedom, and complexity."

Cody, who is an Academy Award-winning screenwriter (Juno) will pen a book based on the musical.

Meanwhile, Paulus was previously involved in the stage productions of Pippin, Waitress, and Finding Neverland. She won a Tony Award for Best Director in 2013.

The Jagged Little Pill musical will run on Broadway from May 5 to June 30.
