Miley Cyrus takes back an apology that she gave to her fans 10 years ago. On Sunday, the singer went on a throwback spree on her social media account.

On Twitter, the 25-year-old posted a photo of the New York Post's article about her. The story with a headline "Miley's Shame," was followed by the lede, "TV's 'Hannah' apologizes for near-nude pic."

Cyrus slammed the headlines and said that she is not sorry for going almost nude at the time. She also cursed at the publication.

In 2008, The Voice coach worked with Annie Leibovitz, a famed photographer, for a feature on Vanity Fair. Back then, she was just 15 years old. Cyrus posed in front of the camera with just a thin piece of fabric covering her body.

During her interview with the publication, the Hannah Montana star said she was not worried about the photo because she actually had a huge blanket covering herself. She said that she thought the picture was pretty, natural and artsy.

However, the former child star was forced to issue an apology after Disney had tried to protect the singer's wholesome image.

"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic,' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about," said Cyrus in a statement.

Now that the "Wrecking Ball" singer is no longer connected to Disney, she claimed that she was not really sorry for the controversial photo.

Throwback Photos

On Monday, the "We Can't Stop" singer also tweeted a series of throwback photos from when she was still a young girl.

In one of the snaps, Cyrus is wearing a shirt from Fred Segal. She also joked about posing for Harper's Bazaar in one of her pictures.

In 2017, Cyrus also talked about her decision to change her image after feeling that she was being sexualized. She also said that a lot of people were so appalled by the things that she did as a young girl.

"I was put in full hair and makeup, a wig, and told what to wear by a group of mostly older man," said Cyrus.

She also acknowledged her fans' plea that they want the old Cyrus back. The singer said that no one can tell her who the old Miley is.
