An inspirational music video for "Fall In Line," the anticipated collaboration between Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato, has finally been released!

The empowering new track is from Aguilera's upcoming album, Liberation, which is set to come out on June 15.

Christina Aguilera And Demi Lovato Are Heroines

The music video that went up on Wednesday, May 23, begins with two children, Aguilera and Lovato, playing in a field. The conflict arrives when two men in black military uniforms abduct and take them into a facility where they are imprisoned.

The story continues when both girls are all grown up, but still under the control of the men in black.

"Little girls, listen closely/ 'Cause no one told me/ But you deserve to know," Aguilera sings. "That in this world, you are not beholden/ You do not owe them/ Your body and your soul."

Lovato appears to sing the second verse.

"Show some skin, make him want you/ 'Cause god forbid you/ Know your own way home," the 25-year-old croons. "Ask yourself why it matters/ Who it flatters/ You're more than flesh and bones."

As the song reaches the bridge, the two pop stars attempt their escape and return to the same open field where they were abducted as little kids years ago.

Growing Up In The Spotlight

"Fall In Line," a song about female empowerment, arrived in the wake of the #MeToo movement that exposed systematic sexual harassment in the music industry and Hollywood. Aguilera and Lovato have been open about their experiences as women in the entertainment industry.

In a recent interview, the 37-year-old recalled how her record label controlled her image when she was starting out as a singer.

"My very first video ever, sporting the midriff, that was the times! That was the main thing, me, Brit Brit [Britney Spears] just sporting the crop tops!" The mother of two shared. "At that point in my career, I was still playing the label game, and I was going to these fittings where I was just being watched by certain members of the label and it was very like 'that's approved, that's not approved' So it was super confining and super restricting and it made me feel like a weird Barbie of sorts."

Aguilera and Lovato debuted the track with a live performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. The song received overwhelmingly positive responses from the audience that include Taylor Swift, BTS, Tyra Banks, and more.

The former The Voice coach also teased the track in a guest appearance on Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show with James Corden last month.

The award-winning singer-songwriter previously released more upbeat tracks "Accelerate" featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz and "Twice."
