Selena Gomez stars in the music video for "Back to You." The track is featured on the official soundtrack of 13 Reasons Why.

Official Music Video For 'Back To You'

The over four-minute clip opens with Gomez standing inside a room with three people, but she is not talking to anyone of them. She simply stares into the camera as it zooms in on her. She looks at a man from across the room, and he looks back at her.

In the next scene, Gomez and the unnamed man meet inside the house. The singer starts singing some of the lines to her song. Gomez and the man head out of the house, and they get into their car seemingly ready to escape the world.

The rom-com inspired music video for "Back to You" also features Gomez and the man interacting with the audience. The 25-year-old singer makes faces in front of the camera as part of the silent film.

After she is done making faces, Gomez and the man head out to the field. She takes a Polaroid picture of him, and he records their sweet moment using a camera.

Is 'Back To You' About Justin Bieber?

The song is about Gomez telling the man that she loves that he can break her heart in two, but the minute it heals, it will still beat for him. According to one publication, it is possible that the track is an ode to Gomez's on-again-off-again boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

On the day of the video's release, Gomez told her fans on Twitter that she could not be more passionate about a project. "Back to You" originally premiered on Beats 1 radio last month. At the time, the singer also confirmed that she is working on her third studio album.

During the same interview, the singer also talked about "Back to You" and said that it is the first song she did for the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why.

"That actually was specifically for the show. It's a very special record," said Gomez.

Selena Gomez's Third Studio Album

When asked when exactly her project will be released, Gomez admitted that a date has not yet been set.

"There's no date, there's no idea for it, but I have a lot of music that I've collectively put away. I have so many exciting things coming. It just feels like it's my time and it's at my pace. I'm not trying to throw a bunch of music in people's faces until I'm ready," said Gomez.
