Chance The Rapper is now engaged to longtime girlfriend, Kirsten Corley. The 25-year-old proposed during a Fourth of July celebration on Wednesday.

Friends of the soon-to-be husband and wife took a video of the exact moment that Chance, whose real name Chancelor Jonathan Bennett, got down on one knee and asked Corley to marry him. The proposal took place in front of family and friends.

"Kisten Katrina Corley," the Grammy-winning artist started, "will you make me a man and be my wife?"

Their two-year-old daughter, Kensli, was also present at the event. After the proposal, the toddler ran up to her parents to celebrate.

He also confirmed the engagement on Twitter. On Thursday morning, he tweeted, "She said yes."

Chance and Kirsten have reportedly been dating since 2013. However, they separated back in May of 2016 and got involved in a legal battle.

Kirsten filed a petition asking the court to declare the "Favorite Song" rapper the father of their then 8-month-old daughter and to make him pay for child support. She eventually dropped the case when they reconciled in 2017.

During his acceptance speech after winning Best New Artist at the Grammys last year, he thanked Kirsten and Kensli.

 

In May, the artist and philanthropist paid tribute to his girl with a heartfelt message on Instagram to celebrate her birthday.

Chance The Rapper's Upcoming Album To Be Produced By Kanye West

Chance's engagement is not the only major announcement that the rapper unveiled in the past couple of weeks. He also confirmed that he is working on his next album which will be produced by Kanye West.

The rapper and fashion designer previously produced and released the seven-track albums of Pusha T, Nas, and Teyana Taylor. He dropped Ye, his follow-up to The Life of Pablo, and his collaborative album with Kid Cudi called Kids See Ghost earlier this year.

In an interview with Complex, Chance also revealed that he has collaborated with Donald Glover a.k.a. Childish Gambino.

"We've got six songs that are all fire," the rapper stated, "but I think the album is going to be more than 14 songs."

He added that both projects are about 30% finished, but could not divulge an estimated release date as of this writing.
