G-Eazy will no longer perform a headlining set at the 2018 Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary, according to an announcement released on Monday, July 9.

The hip-hop artist was originally set to perform at the event on the same night, but the cancellation was made public only a few hours before he was expected to take the stage. The Cowboys Dance Hall offered refunds to fans who purchased tickets to see the chart-topper live.

TMZ reported that the reason G-Eazy could not make the show was because he was turned away at the Canadian border on Monday. According to unnamed sources, the "No Limit" singer had an issue with customs agents immediately when he touched down in Calgary.

The publication could not say why exactly the 29-year-old was denied entry, but it caused him to miss his headlining set at the Cowboys Music Festival. G-Eazy has not issued a statement regarding the concert's cancellation nor why he was turned away at the airport

However, TMZ suggested that his recent arrest in Sweden for illegal possession of cocaine might be connected.

G-Eazy Arrested For Cocaine Possession

Back in May, the American singer-songwriter was reportedly partying at a nightclub in Stockholm with friends and then-girlfriend Halsey when he got involved in a fight. This led to his arrest, and he was charged with assault and cocaine possession.

"I have requested a U.S. citizen arrested on probable reasons suspected of violence against an official at a club in central Stockholm," said prosecutor Carl Mellberg.

G-Eazy pled guilty to the charges and was convicted, but he did not face jail time. He was able to immediately fly out of Sweden and head to his next tour stop in Europe, revealed Pitchfork.

G-Eazy, Halsey Breakup

The record producer has had a rough couple of months. Aside from his arrest earlier this year, G-Eazy also recently ended his relationship with Halsey for undisclosed reasons. The two has reportedly been dating since last year and even released a duet titled "Him & I."

The Oakland-born artist performed the track alone at a concert hosted by Good Morning America on Friday, July 6.

G-Eazy released his new album, The Beautiful and the Damned, in December.
