Is staying home killing your vibes while keeping out the coronavirus? You may have streamed a dozen music artists or watched rehashed movies or series over and over on Netflix or Hulu. You may have kept tab of missed videos on YouTube. You now have more things to add to your to-do list. Film studios are also serving never-been-seen and recently shown movies online to beat quarantine boredom. More reasons to hit that remote with popcorn (or any go-to munchies) while lounging on your pj's.

Here is a line-up of movies you can access through VOD (Video on Demand) platforms while in quarantine:

  1. Disney's "Onward" on Disney+ was theatrically released on March 6 but was abruptly cut short due to the lockdown. 

  2. Paramount's "Sonic The Hedgehog" on Amazon and Apple is the film adaptation of a popular video game. Jim Carrey plays as the villain Dr. Robotnik.

  3. Dreamwork's "Trolls World Tour". Original theatrical release date is on April 17. Due to the closure of cinemas, Universal decided to release straight-to-VOD on April 10. It will be available for a 48-hour rental with a price of $19.99.

  4. Sony's "Bad Boys for Life" on Amazon and Apple. Bad Boys' Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back but now in their prime years. Can they still do it? The third drop of the movie franchise.

  5. Warner Bros' "Birds of Prey" on Amazon and Apple is a spinoff of 2017's "Suicide Squad" released in theatres on Feb. 8.

  6. 20th Century's "Call of the Wild" on Amazon and Apple. It is the movie adaptation of a classic novel. It stars Harrison Ford.

  7. Universal's "The Invisible Man" on Amazon and Apple is a remake of the classic movie shown last February 24 in cinemas.

  8. Lionsgate's "I Still Believe" on Amazon and Apple is a true-life story of Christian singer Jeremy Camp, his love, and loss. 

  9. Universal's "The Hunt" on Amazon and Apple is a satirical political thriller starring Hillary Swank.

  10. Focus' "Emma" on Amazon and Apple is a new British film adaptation of Jane Austen's comedy starring Anna Taylor-Joy.

  11. Disney's "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" on Amazon and Apple would be the last of Skywalker saga. It grossed $1 billion in January 2020.

  12. Disney's "Frozen 2" on Disney+. Kids and no-longer kids will continue to sing with Anna and Elsa at home. Click here for other Disney movies that are sure to quiet down your little ones.

  13. Sony's "Bloodshot" on Amazon and Apple comes from the bestselling comic book. Vin Diesel stars as a superhero.

  14. Universal's "The Gentlemen" on Amazon and Apple is a dramedy directed by Guy Ritchie.

  15. Warner Bros' "The Way Back" on Amazon and Apple stars Ben Affleck as a basketball coach turned alcoholic.  

  16. Universal's "1917" on Amazon and Apple is a war film nominated for Best Picture in the Oscars.

  17. Fox Searchlight's "Downhill" on Amazon and Apple is a comedy film in the Alps with Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

  18. Focus' "Never Rarely Sometimes Always" on Amazon and Apple is a critically acclaimed indie film that won awards at Sundance 2020 and Berlin Film Festival.

  19. Disney's "Artemis Fowl" on Disney+. The never-been-released film adaptation of the Eoin Colfer bestseller. Date of release to be announced soon.

  20. Universal's "Dolittle" on Amazon and Apple stars Robert Downey, Jr.. He talks to animals in this fantasy comedy film.

  21. Warner's "Just Mercy" on Amazon and Apple is a legal drama film based on a true story starring Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx.

  22. Orion's "Gretel & Hansel" is a horror/fantasy film that would be available on demand starting May 7.

  23. "Portrait of a Lady on Fire" is from Cannes' Film Festival and is available on Hulu and Amazon Prime.

  24. Universal's "Cats" on Amazon and Apple is the film adaptation of the musical hit starring Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, James Corden.

New movies that were scheduled to premiere in March, April, and May have delayed opening dates due to closure of movie theaters. Several of the expected movies are moved for release next year.
