Tekashi 6ix9ine is undoubtedly one of the most polarizing artists of this generation. The rapper-songwriter and convicted felon has made waves with his hits, from 2017's "Gummo" to his second post-prison hit "Trollz," with Nicki Minaj. His aggressive lyrical choices and his frequent public beef with other celebrities have only served to fan his fame even brighter.

Like him or hate him, the multicolor-haired rapper is here to stay. He is set to drop another track on Friday, July 3. The rapper posted on his Instagram that he will be releasing "Yaya" at 2:30 PM ET. To know more about his own brand of music, here are four of Tekashi 6ix9ine songs with weird titles.

"Gummo" (2017)

First released on digital platforms, "GUMMO" would later be released as the lead single for his debut mixtape "Day69." It peaked at No. 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Shortly after his album release, this sleeper hit rapidly sold and earned a Gold certification from the RIAA.

Though this Tekashi 6ix9ine song never got an official explanation, it is probably from the 1997 film by Harmony Korine. The cult classic also features children doing disturbing things, such as shooting cats with air rifles. This coincides with Tekashi's lyrics about popping and shooting people.

"Kooda" (2017)

Also coming from "Day69," this Tekashi 6ix9ine song was among his commercially successful hits. Released on streaming platforms and digital download sites in December 2017, it was already certified as Platinum by the RIAA just six months later in June 2018. It would peak at No. 50 in the Hot 100 but rose to No. 29 in the Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop Songs.

It was also supported by a music video that premiered on World Star Hip-Hop's YouTube Channel. Following the same visual as "Gummo," "Kooda" featured Tekashi on the streets with street gangs. According to the Urban Dictionary, kooda is a placeholder for people wanting to say a curse.

"Fefe" (2018)

One of the most successful Tekashi 6ix9ine songs is "Fefe." It was his collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Canadian producer Murda Beatz. It peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has achieved eight times Platinum by the RIAA. Their party banger has also broken the top ten charts in countries including Australia, Hungary, Canada, and New Zealand.

Upon its release, Nicki Minaj faced backlash for collaborating with 6ix9ine, who has previously pleaded guilty to a sexual performance with a minor. Its colorful music video filled with sweets and balloons lends credence to "Fefe," referring to a party. However, his line "Got that Super Soaker, hit that, she a Fefe/Her name Keke, she eat my d**k like it's free, free" begs otherwise. Urban Dictionary offers another explanation for the term, referring to a prostitute.

"Gooba" (2020)

"Gooba" is the first Tekashi 6ix9ine song after he received his early release due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was released on May 8, a month after his request was granted. It was also accompanied by a music video recorded as he remained under house arrest.

While he does send another message to his haters, Urban Dictionary's top definition for the term refers to a very clumsy person. This matches with his bars "Are you dumb, stupid, or dumb, huh?/Play me like a dummy, like b***h, are you dumb?"

It also spawned a controversy as it debuted at No. 3 on the Hot 100, against Tekashi's supposed projection and information. He accused Billboard of chart manipulation and rigging the result. He also accused the management handling Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, whose collab "Stuck With U" debuted at the No. 1 spot.
